POSITION OVERVIEW

The Wardrobe Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting with the smooth operation of the uniform/wardrobe department and ensuring that all uniformed members are provided with fitted and clean uniforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Implement the established leading practices in the governance and support of the Company’s uniform program
  • Display deep subject matter expertise about uniform programs
  • Maintain guidelines for garment and accessory par levels and inventory in the inventory management system to meet operation needs
  • Execute, manage, and validate operating policies to mitigate risk
  • Align the work processes and procedures of the wardrobe including proper Member fittings, alterations, and internal guest interactions
  • New/replacement uniforms received must meet department standards. Report any discrepancies or damaged items to Management
  • Heat sealing RFID chips into new inventory and entering in Invotech correctly
  • Manage monthly reporting and proper tracking of deposits, assigned garments, and termed garments
  • Develop and use KPI’s and statistical and data analysis to drive performance and efficiency improvements and to promote standards of excellence
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and payroll for all Members within the department
  • Work closely with Manager to identify and resolve inefficiencies/conflicts within the department
  • With guidance from the Manager, responsible for training, coaching and performance management
  • Responsible for uniform storage areas, record keeping of current and discontinued uniforms
  • Follow Hotel and Department “Safety First” culture adhere to all safety policies and guidelines
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum two (2) years of management experience within a wardrobe department
  • Experience working in a large, luxury resort preferred
  • Proven team leader with a high level of energy and a track record of living and breathing the Company’s core values
  • Polished communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to provide a luxury guest experience with every interaction
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and follow through
  • Proficiency in using Windows and hospitality applications (such as Microsoft Office, Invotech) is preferred
  • Possesses superior conflict resolution skills and customer de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Passionate about creating exceptional guest and Member experiences
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts
  • Ability to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve departmental and Company goals
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other members, and outside contacts
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively utilizing English, both in spoken and written form
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance and demeanor adhering to company standards

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position supervises all non-management positions within the wardrobe department.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

SALARY

$50000.00 per year-$55000.00 per year
