POSITION OVERVIEW
The Manager of Leisure Sales will be responsible for creating and implementing domestic and international strategies to drive third-party bookings to achieve the property’s objectives and align with sales and marketing strategy. Leisure Sales channels include, but are not limited to, Domestic and International Air/Hotel Package Operators, Global Receptives, Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), as well as high-end room/suite product to be sold through the Global Distribution System (GDS), Retail and Corporate Travel Agents, Travel Management Companies (TMCs) Luxury Consortiums, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Analyze competitive pricing, market, and industry trends to provide insight during the rate-setting and promotion process
- Communicate with assigned tour operators to implement sales strategies, exceed strategic goals, and lead all aspects of the account
- Collaborate internally with Marketing, Revenue Management, Operations, and other departments to develop sales strategies to optimize hotel market mix and maximize revenue
- Uncover new business development opportunities to differentiate the property in a competitive marketplace
- Work in conjunction with Marketing and accounts to seek, negotiate, execute, and measure marketing opportunities
- Maintain necessary contractual agreements to keep the account in good standing
- Track KPIs to monitor account performance
- Travel domestically and/or internationally to various sales calls, sales missions, tradeshows, etc. to represent the property
- Coordinate/host engagements to include site inspections, fam visits, presentations, webinars and partner entertainment to secure future business
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hotel Administration, Marketing, or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Five (5) years of administrative experience in Hotel Sales (Leisure or Group) or Third-Party Distribution, preferably for a 5-star/luxury resort
- Proficiency in software including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment (i.e. telephone, copier, projector, etc.)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, as required
- Extraordinary attention to detail, while working under tight deadlines
- Ability to provide leadership and direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams
- Ability to resolve problems to the satisfaction of both the guest and the company
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
- Cross-cultural experience preferred
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
