POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Casino/Convention Engineer, you will be responsible for making repairs and improvements to an already great property. Your attention to detail and ability to provide excellent guest service will ensure the functionality of our resort and the safety and satisfaction of every guest.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Responsible for general and preventative maintenance and repairs within the casino, convention center, restaurants, pools, back-of-house areas, executive offices, and parking garages
- Receive and respond to maintenance dispatch calls
- Install, adjust, maintain, repair, and replace all types of locks and integrated security systems, access control devices, and other types of lock hardware such as latches, door checks, and panic bars, including changing lock combinations and making keys
- Responsible for the regular upkeep and ongoing maintenance of table games
- Access lights which may be located at varying heights and at any angle to replace standard lighting tubes, a variety of bulbs, and specialty equipment
- Inspect restroom equipment and machinery and recommend repair or replacement
- Troubleshoot complex maintenance problems and develop creative solutions
- Reset and secure all escalators and people movers
- Assist in the set-up of special events for slots and table games
- Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner
- Communicate with guests in a professional manner regarding work requests
- Read and comprehend blueprints to understand the layout of the property and equipment
- Interact with co-workers to provide guest services in a coordinated manner
- Establish schedules for repairs and preventative maintenance and ensure they are adhered to
- Provide a current Nevada Motor Vehicle Report to the department leader and Risk Management every 6 months
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least three (3) years of general maintenance experience for a large, luxury resort
- Electrical and plumbing experience
- Beginner skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent customer service skills
- General knowledge of all construction phases and local building and safety codes
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from Team Members and/or guests
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with guests, management, Team Members, and other outside contacts
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills; be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

$40.02 per hour
