POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Casino Surveillance Operator is responsible for actively monitoring the casino floor and associated areas using surveillance technology to ensure the security, compliance, and integrity of all gaming and non-gaming activities. This role involves identifying potential security threats, monitoring gaming operations, and assisting in investigations as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Utilize advanced surveillance equipment, including cameras and monitoring systems, to observe all areas of the casino in real-time
- Detect and document suspicious or unusual activities, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations and internal policies
- Monitor gaming tables, slot machines, cash transactions, and other casino activities to prevent cheating, fraud, and unauthorized behavior
- Ensure that casino operations adhere to gaming regulations and internal procedures
- Document and report any identified irregularities, suspicious activities, or security breaches to appropriate casino management and regulatory authorities
- Assist law enforcement and regulatory agencies in investigations by providing video evidence and insights when required
- Coordinate with security personnel to respond to incidents or emergencies promptly, ensuring the safety of guests and staff
- Stay current with gaming regulations, security protocols, and surveillance technology advancements through ongoing training and professional development
- Handle sensitive information and surveillance data with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of surveillance activities, incidents, and observations
- Communicate effectively with casino management, security personnel, and regulatory bodies to address security concerns and provide updates
- Discover, maintain, and provide information to Security, Legal, and People department heads regarding potential criminal activity and/or activity that may cause risk or liability for the Company
- Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, company policies, and relevant laws to maintain a secure gaming environment.
- Maintain working knowledge of laws and regulations (and changes in such) impacting the Company's line of business and communicate this information to the appropriate parties, as required
- Collaborate with other departments, including security, gaming operations, and regulatory compliance, to address security concerns and maintain a safe environment
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - High School diploma or equivalent required
- One (1) years experience in surveillance operations for a luxury resort
- Familiar with Nevada Gaming Standards and Regulations
- Knowledge of all Tables Games and Casino Procedures
- Knowledge of gaming regulations such as Title 31
- Knowledge of Gaming Minimum Internal Casino Standards, local jurisdictional gaming laws, and Nevada Revised Statutes
- Possess the ability to lead, protects the assets of Fontainebleau Las Vegas and ensure Gaming compliance
- Have a good understanding of all Surveillance software, iTRAK, BJ Survey, AS/400, Table View, Excel, Word, eConnect POS System.
- Strong communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to deal with guests, patrons, and Members, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to deescalate concerns, collect accurate information, and resolve problems.
- Willingness and ability to accurately and appropriately document and testify regarding observations
- Must possess thorough knowledge of Gaming Minimum Internal Casino Standards, local jurisdictional gaming laws, and Nevada Revised Statutes
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of applicable state statutes, codes and regulations including operation and security requirements.
- Ability to build trust and positive working relationships with diverse groups including Members, Leaders, stakeholders, emergency management personnel, first responders, legislative/policy staff and community members
- Understanding of Surveillance Policy and Procedures, ability to train surveillance Team Members.
- Ability to actively influence and drive collaboration with individuals or groups at various levels within and outside of the organization
- Demonstrated ability in maintaining consistent, high-quality service levels
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

SALARY
$28 per hour - $30 per hour
