POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Manager, Security Special Events will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and security of all special events hosted by the resort.  This pivotal role demands a high level of coordination, communication, and management skills to deliver top-tier security services that align with Fontainebleau's commitment to modern luxury and ensuring all guest and member interactions result in world-class luxury hotel experience. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: 

  • Serving as the primary liaison for special event requests from various teams within Fontainebleau Las Vegas 
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure the highest level of security and customer service 
  • Develop and implement special training programs for special events’ security staff 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to security 
  • Evaluate and recommend, as appropriate, improvements to policies, procedures, or the facility 
  • Tracking hours, Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs), and maintaining accurate logs and records to support the accounting and finance department 
  • provide essential support to the Security Administration and Operations teams whenever necessary 
  • Liaising with external entities such as law enforcement, the Clark County Fire Department, and ambulatory services to ensure a seamless and coordinated approach to event security 
  • Manage events on behalf of the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Security and Investigations, meeting with clients to ensure that security services provided meet the highest standards of modern luxury customer service at Fontainebleau Las Vegas 
  • In addition to the core duties mentioned above, you will need the flexibility to work varying hours and shifts based on the dynamic flow of events at the resort 
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education in Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is a plus 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in direct security, security management administration, military, law enforcement, experience in a hotel/resort environment 
  • Previous experience as an analyst position or in employee relations is preferred 
  • Previous experience working for a large, luxury resort setting preferred 
  • Strong investigative skills, with the ability to analyze information, gather evidence, and draw sound conclusions 
  • Experience working in the field for a high volume, luxury, complex resort is a plus 
  • Proficiency in surveillance technology, including the ability to review and analyze surveillance footage 
  • Proven ability to maintain the confidentiality of the material being handled 
  • Literacy and fluent in English 
  • Must have a valid Nevada Drivers’ License and clean driving record 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
  • Ability to read, write and analyze all documents, respond to inquiries or complaints from members and guests.  
  • Able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason, even when dealing with emotional topics; review facts and weigh options 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure 
  • Able to remain open-minded and change opinions on the basis of new information; perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as demands change; manage transitions effectively from task to task; adapt to varying customer needs 
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards 
  • Computer literacy required 
  • Report writing skills 
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business. 
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays 
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                  

This position all Security personnel assigned to a Special Event.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS  

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required. 

 

REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
