POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Supervisor, Security Operations Center is responsible for the seamless operation of the Security Operations Center and personnel.  Ensuring all member and guest interaction results in a world-class, luxury hotel experience.  This position will assist the Manager of Security Operations with managing the day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center while providing guest and member support in escalated situations. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: 

  • Security Operations Center Management: support SOC Manager by leading and managing the security operations center and its staff, ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day security operations and maintaining a high level of vigilance. 
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction in areas such as training, camera coverage, customer service, and operational efficiency tailored to meet the exacting standards of a luxury resort and casino. 
  • Schedule Management: Maintain a flexible schedule that aligns with operational requirements, adjusting it as needed to respond effectively to changing business demands and security priorities. 
  • Liaison with Surveillance Department: Collaborate closely with the surveillance department to coordinate training initiatives, stay abreast of evolving gaming regulations, and ensure compliance with security protocols. 
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Act as a support liaison to SOC Manager with various department leaders across the resort, offering support and expertise in reviewing surveillance footage related to guest services or members, enhancing overall security and service delivery. 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing security operations centers, preferably within the context of a luxury resort or casino environment. 
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of security professionals towards a common goal of excellence and safety. 
  • Proficiency in security systems, camera coverage strategies, customer service principles, and operational efficiency practices specific to hospitality and gaming industries. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs, varying schedules, and high-pressure situations with composure and sound decision-making. 
  • Familiarity with gaming regulations, security compliance requirements, and best practices in the realm of security management within the hospitality sector. 
  • Providing clear and concise instructions to security personnel during emergency situations, ensuring a coordinated and effective response.  
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary. 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • At least two (2) years of experience in security, Security communication/dispatch, or surveillance within a luxury resort 
  • Proven ability to maintain the confidentiality of the material being handled 
  • Previous guest service experience 
  • Must have a valid Nevada Drivers’ License and clean driving record 
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft 365, Excel, and all essential systems and IT applications 
  • Able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason, even when dealing with emotional topics; review facts and weigh options 
  • Able to remain open-minded and change opinions on the basis of new information; perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as demands change; manage transitions effectively from task to task; adapt to varying customer needs 
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business 
  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English. 
  • Ability to read, write and analyze all documents, respond to inquiries or complaints from members and guests.  
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  
  • Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies, and procedures.  
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays 
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                  

This position supervises a team of SOC Operators.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations. 

  

LANGUAGE SKILLS  

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required. 

 

REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls. The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
