POSITION OVERVIEW

The Resort Ambassador is a prestigious and customer-focused role within the luxury resort, responsible for creating an exceptional experience for guests and ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay. This position serves as a gracious host, providing personalized assistance, and promoting the resort's amenities and services. The Resort Ambassador plays a key role in elevating the guest experience by offering attentive service, anticipating guest needs, and facilitating memorable moments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Warmly welcome guests as they arrive at the resort, providing a friendly and personalized greeting, and creating a positive first impression
  • Offer bespoke concierge services to guests, including arranging dining reservations, excursions, spa appointments, transportation, and other personalized requests
  • Promote resort amenities, services, and activities to guests, ensuring they are aware of the various offerings available to enhance their stay
  • Foster positive guest relations by engaging with guests throughout their stay, addressing their inquiries and needs, and providing attentive service
  • Identify and recognize VIP and returning guests, offering personalized services and amenities to enhance their resort experience
  • Create a welcoming ambiance in the lobby and public areas, ensuring they remain clean, well-organized, and aesthetically pleasing at all times
  • Assist in coordinating special events, celebrations, and guest experiences, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints with tact and empathy, finding timely resolutions or escalating matters to the appropriate management
  • Maintain a vigilant presence in public areas to ensure the safety and security of guests and the resort, reporting any suspicious activities or incidents
  • Bid farewell to departing guests, expressing gratitude for their stay and inviting them to return in the future
  • Possess knowledge of local culture, attractions, and customs to provide informed recommendations and insights to guests
  • Embody the resort's core values and mission, exemplifying a high level of professionalism and dedication to guest satisfaction
  • Respond expeditiously to all guest recoveries providing quick remedial measures identified by hotel leadership.
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience in a guest service or hospitality role, preferably within a luxury resort or high-end service industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a polished and gracious demeanor
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to attend to guest needs and coordinate various tasks effectively
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus, especially in regions with international guests
  • Knowledge of local attractions, events, and cultural offerings to provide informed recommendations to guests
  • Attention to detail to anticipate and fulfill guest needs and preferences
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES    

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill set, considering a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity and market data alignment.

SALARY

$17.25 per hour
