POSITION OVERVIEW
The People Services (HR) Specialist plays a crucial role in managing various aspects of the Member lifecycle. The primary responsibility is to support the People department in executing policies, procedures, and programs effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Address Member inquiries, provide guidance on policies and procedures, and assist with the intake of workplace issues or concerns
- Answer questions and process requests for the Member benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits
- Assist with the management of personnel records and documentation
- Assist in the implementation and administration of HR programs/initiatives
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Support the HRIS department with maintaining accurate and up-to-date Member records, HR databases, and HRIS systems
- Generate HR reports and analyze HR metrics for management review
- Assist with the planning and organization of Member engagement activities, such as team-building events, recognition programs, and surveys, to foster a positive work environment
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective communication
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years of previous experience in a human resources administrative role preferred
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with Members, management, and external stakeholders
- Ability to analyze complex situations, identify issues, and propose effective solutions
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail to manage HR data accurately and ensure compliance
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
- Familiarity with HR software, HRIS systems, and proficiency in using MS Office applications
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships with employees at all levels
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced HR environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls. The Member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.
The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
