POSITION OVERVIEW

The PAD Utility Porter is responsible to clean and service assigned areas according to the standards of cleanliness set by management to ensure a clean, comfortable, safe, and attractive environment for our Guests. This includes working in high areas, caring for the floors, and operating heavy equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Clean, sanitize, and service assigned public areas (lobby, casino, elevators, public area restrooms, and other public areas)
  • Pan, mop, strip, finish, high-speed burnishes, spray buffs, neutral cleans, restores, etc. all floor surfaces, including parking garages, as necessary and/or assigned
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance of detailing all public areas such as shampooing; vacuuming carpets and furniture; cleaning, stripping, polishing, and waxing all hard floors; washing windows, walls, and ceilings; emptying litter bins, ash urns constantly; service restrooms, polish brass, handrails and fixtures; clean glass doors, casino, cigar bars, and areas which have an odor, on a regular basis
  • Ensure all equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat, and orderly at all times
  • Extract and shampoo carpets when needed
  • Maintain high dusting and window cleaning in all assigned public areas
  • Manage, maintain and follow all specialty equipment complying with all safety and procedural guidelines; but not limited to lifts, scrubbers (ride-on and walk-behind), burnishers, floor machines, wet/dry vacuums, spotting machine and robotics extraction, spotting of carpets, high dusting of ceiling vents, wall decorations, etc.
  • Removal of food and beverage leftovers in office kitchens and public areas as needed
  • Maintain and cleans all public area restrooms and showers (urinals, sinks, janitorial closet, and locker areas)
  • Empty and replace liners for trash receptacles in all areas
  • Maintains all escalator and elevator landing and side rail in all public areas
  • Accountable for inventory of all cleaning products and chemicals, ensuring lockers are fully stocked as needed
  • Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to assigned work areas
  • Handle and disposes of biohazard material in accordance with OSHA
  • Safely uses cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with OSHA regulations and Company and departmental policies, including the use of personal protective equipment and safety practices
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and compliance with departmental policies, services, procedures
  • Empty and clean ashtrays and urns and trashcans in all public areas, including all parking garages
  • Remove spots from mirrors, doors, windows, and walls, located in assigned area
  • Provide exceptional, courteous, friendly service to guests and fellow employees that differentiates us from the competition.
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently with other Members, departments, guests, and management
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments
  • Ability to maintain a valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
  • Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident, and well-groomed manner
  • Knowledge of pertinent laws and regulations impacting cleaning such as OSHA
  • Ability to obtain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays, nights and weekends
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES    

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls. The Member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

SALARY

$21.36 per hour
