POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Manager of Minibar, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the efficiency and profitability of our in-room Minibar service in a hospitality setting. Your exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and customer-focused approach will ensure that our Minibar offerings exceed guest expectations and contribute positively to our overall guest experience and revenue generation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Minibar department, ensuring that Minibar items are adequately stocked, organized, and presented attractively in guest rooms
  • Monitor Minibar inventory levels and track product consumption. Coordinate with relevant departments to maintain adequate stock levels and timely replenishment
  • Set competitive pricing for Minibar items based on market analysis and business objectives. Implement revenue optimization strategies to maximize Minibar revenue while maintaining guest satisfaction
  • Ensure the quality and freshness of Minibar items, including snacks, beverages, and other products. Conduct regular inspections to guarantee that Minibar items meet established standards
  • Lead, train, and motivate Minibar staff to provide exceptional service and meet performance targets. Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Focus on delivering a superior guest experience by anticipating guest needs and addressing any concerns related to the Minibar service promptly and professionally
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including revenue, expenses, and profitability analysis related to the Minibar service. Use data insights to drive informed decisions and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies related to food handling and storage. Implement and maintain proper sanitation and hygiene practices
  • Leverage technology solutions for Minibar management, such as Minibar systems or inventory tracking software, to streamline operations and enhance guest experiences
  • Upselling and Promotions: Develop creative strategies to upsell Minibar offerings and promote special promotions or packages to increase guest spend and drive revenue growth
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
  • Proven experience in Minibar management or a related hospitality role
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization techniques
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
  • Customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry technology and Minibar management systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and vendors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will supervise Members within the Minibar.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

SALARY

$50000 per year - $68000 per year
