POSITION OVERVIEW
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for the preparation of financial statements for multiple entities, preparation of value-added summary reports related to the financial statements and responding to questions about the financial statements from upper management and ownership. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial statement audits, G.A.A.P, new accounting guidance, and reporting governance application and implementation. This position will assist Financial Reporting Director with continued special projects and work in collaboration with senior management. This position will be involved with corporate initiatives and analysis to ensure appropriate actions are taken by decision makers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Financial statement preparation and consolidation
- Account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets, and forecasting
- Audit preparation, internal control maintenance, and regulatory reporting
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements for multiple entities
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports used by senior management
- Support annual audit and quarterly review coordination
- Coordinate reporting and compliance with debt covenants
- Research and propose accounting treatment for technical situations including debt, equity, new accounting standards, etc.
- Support and coordinate with 3rd party tax preparers
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors related to periodic operational and financial statement audits.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state filing requirements
- Create and maintain relations with partners across accounting, legal, and IT
- Document existing processes and controls and assist in the design and implementation of new solutions as needed.
- Assess processes, controls, supplemental financial statement reports, covenant reports, etc. for opportunities for improvement and drive those improvements to fruition

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Five (5) or more years prior experience in an accounting position, preferably for a large-scale, luxury resort or in public accounting
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to exercise professional discretion and judgment
- Ability to gather, synthesize, and analyze data and draw logical conclusions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, such as technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

SALARY
$110000 per year - $140000 per year
