POSITION OVERVIEW

A Facilities and Public Areas (PAD) Dispatcher will use excellent customer service skills to answer calls from both Guests and Team Members while collecting details regarding issues and dispatching our Engineering team utilizing the computer-based program in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Support incoming phone and radio traffic relevant to requests for Facilities and PAD
  • Respond to email inquiries within scope of responsibility and if necessary, route requests to the appropriate departments
  • Enter, track, and prioritize work orders utilizing the CMMS system
  • In partnership with the Dispatch Supervisor, monitor hotel engineer’s productivity utilizing the CMMS system to minimize guest response and resolution times
  • As requested by management, review productivity reports, look for deficiencies and/or opportunities for improvement, and bring to leadership’s attention
  • Provide follow up to ensure completion and satisfaction for guest requests
  • Assist on the tracking and distribution of devices to tower personnel
  • Monitor and address systems and alarms relative to life safety control throughout the resort via Fire Command panels
  • Ability to differentiate between all code types on FCC panel
  • Promote positive and productive motivation within department
  • Communicate and respond to security codes as expected
  • Maintain full knowledge, understanding, and adherence to company and department rules, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with asset tagging and labeling of material
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or an equivalent
  • Two (2) years of fire prevention, risk management, life safety, or related experience in a Hotel/Casino environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Effective prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must have strong organizational skills and efficient use of time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the documents, such as technical journals, regulatory information, city, state, and county life safety and fire command code enforcement
  • Must have strong organizational skills and efficient use of time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment while meeting deadlines
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Must maintain the highest level of integrity; Adaptive to change with positive actions and behaviors
  • Must adhere to and supports all safety requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills; be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES    

This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
