POSITION OVERVIEW
The Doorperson, as the first point of contact for guests and visitors, provides a warm and professional welcome, ensuring a memorable and secure entrance experience. This position is responsible for maintaining a strong presence at the property entrance, offering assistance with luggage, providing directions, and delivering exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Guest and Resident Welcome: Greet guests and residents with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a positive first impression upon arrival
- Door Assistance: Hold doors open for guests and residents, assisting with luggage, packages, and other personal items as needed
- Luggage Handling: Assist guests and residents with the handling of luggage, ensuring safe transport to their designated location within the property
- Directions and Information: Provide accurate and helpful information about the property's amenities, facilities, and local attractions
- Valet Parking Support: Coordinate with the valet attendants to ensure smooth traffic flow and assist guests with getting in and out of vehicles
- Security Monitoring: Maintain vigilance and awareness of the property entrance, ensuring the safety and security of guests and residents
- Guest Services Coordination: Collaborate with the front desk and concierge teams to facilitate seamless guest services and deliveries
- Package and Mail Handling: Accept and log incoming packages and mail for guests and residents, notifying recipients promptly
- Guest Relations: Foster positive guest and resident relations by being approachable, courteous, and attentive to their needs
- Special Requests: Handle special requests and guest preferences, such as restaurant reservations or transportation arrangements
- Service Recovery: Handle guest concerns or issues with empathy and efficiency, finding timely resolutions or escalating matters to the Front Office Manager or relevant management
- Appearance and Uniform: Present a professional appearance at all times, wearing a well-maintained uniform and name tag
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience as a Doorperson or in a similar guest service role within a luxury hotel, residential building, or private club is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a welcoming and approachable demeanor
- Highly motivated and energetic personality with a strong commitment to excellence in hospitality
- Ability to maintain composure when working in busy and stressful situations
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive guest and company information
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional and personalized guest experiences
- Knowledge of local attractions, events, and cultural offerings to provide informed recommendations to guests
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry luggage and packages for guests
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

SALARY
$23.79 per hour
