POSITION OVERVIEW:
Table Games Dealer is responsible for dealing casino table games, ensuring fair play, and providing an enjoyable experience for players. Dealers are proficient in various casino games, manage bets, and follow established rules and procedures to maintain the integrity of the games.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Professionally conduct table games such as blackjack, roulette, poker, baccarat, and other casino offerings
- Deal and manage bets according to the game's rules and procedures
- Verify, sign and deposit game-related paperwork in the drop box
- Interact with players in a friendly and engaging manner, addressing questions, providing assistance, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Handle player complaints or disputes calmly and professionally, seeking assistance from supervisors if necessary
- Ensure that all games are conducted fairly, following casino regulations and standard operating procedures
- Prevent and detect cheating, suspicious behavior, and irregularities, reporting any concerns to supervisors
- Ensure loyalty cards are entered in the rating system and offer a loyalty card to guests who have not yet been enrolled
- Accurately calculate and manage bets, payouts, and chip exchanges
- Maintain a clear and organized betting layout to minimize errors and confusion
- Explain game rules, procedures, and etiquette to new and inexperienced players
- Offer guidance on optimal betting strategies and decisions when appropriate
- Operate and maintain gaming equipment, such as card shufflers, dealing shoes, and roulette wheels
- Quickly and accurately count and handle chips and currency
- Maintain accurate records of the games played, bets, wins, and losses during each shift
- Collaborate with other dealers, supervisors, and casino staff to ensure smooth game flow and excellent customer service
- Adhere to the casino's dress code and grooming standards, presenting a polished and professional appearance
- Strive to create a positive and entertaining atmosphere for players, encouraging them to return to the casino
- Follow security protocols to protect assets and maintain a secure gaming environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately and securely
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay updated on new games, rules, and procedures.
- Comply with the rules, regulations, and directives of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and established Fontainebleau internal controls and procedures
- Be proactive in informing guests of various services available on the casino floor and throughout the resort
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years of experience in dealing multiple games at another major casino preferred
- Proficient knowledge of at least three (3) core games such as Baccarat, Blackjack, Craps or Roulette preferred
- Strong math skills for calculating bets, payouts, and managing chips accurately
- Interpersonal skills with focused attention on guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts
- Attention to detail with managing bets, payouts, and game procedures to prevent errors Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Fontainebleau appearance standards
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of fairness and honesty in gaming
- Maintain consistent adherence to Fontainebleau guest service standards
- Working knowledge of all NGCB rules, regulations, and Internal Controls
- Ability to clearly present information through the spoken or written word; speak with customers or employees, listen effectively
- Ability to demonstrate an elevated level of service delivery; to do what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction, deal with service shortfalls, and prioritize customer or client needs
- Ability to be tactful and polite, maintain confidences, and foster an ethical work environment; handle all situations with sincerity
- Exhibit enthusiasm and promote a positive group working environment, work closely with other departments as necessary; support group decisions and display team spirit

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
