POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Security Officer at our dayclub, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for club-goers, staff, and property. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all patrons while enforcing club policies and regulations. As a frontline representative of the club, you will interact with guests, manage crowd control, and respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies that may arise. The role requires strong communication skills, a calm demeanor, and a commitment to providing a positive and secure experience for all club visitors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Monitor and manage crowd flow inside and outside the dayclub, ensuring a safe and orderly environment during peak hours and events
- Verify the age and identity of dayclub-goers by checking identification documents to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements and club policies
- Conduct thorough bag checks for club patrons to prevent the entry of prohibited items and substances
- Ensure dayclub policies regarding behavior, dress code, and conduct are adhered to by all guests. Address any violations or disturbances promptly and professionally
- Respond to and deescalate any disruptive or potentially dangerous situations, taking appropriate action to maintain a safe atmosphere
- Conduct routine patrols of the dayclub premises to identify potential security risks and maintain a visible security presence
- Be prepared to respond quickly and effectively in case of emergencies, such as medical incidents, fights, or evacuations
- Maintain clear and effective communication with club management, fellow security personnel, and other staff members to coordinate security efforts
- Provide assistance and information to dayclub patrons, including directions, inquiries, and general customer service
- Accurately and promptly document all security-related incidents, actions taken, and observations in detailed reports
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Prior experience in security or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right aptitude and attitude
- Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with club-goers, staff, and management effectively
- Strong conflict resolution skills to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Must be physically fit and able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls. The Member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.
The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

SALARY
$21.63 per hour
